Smell Nice On Holiday – Perfumes And Aftershaves For Those Humid Nights

Legendary American actress Marilyn Monroe was never without her Chanel No5 – she would dab herself with it before she went to bed

Don’t forget to take some fragrance with you when you go on holiday. You want to take a selection of scents to fit every occasion. You may need a light perfume during the day, doing day trips to museums and sipping coffees and liqueurs in coffee houses and then wear a more heavy one in the evening for that romantic dinner or night out at the opera.

PERFUME AS AN APHRODISIAC

Perfume can make a man or woman feel more attractive – help boost their confidence – act as an aphrodisiac. Cleopatra was fond of her fragrances and Napoleon liked a good whiff. Perfumes with jasmine, rose, bamboo, saffron and sandalwood, were perfect for amore.

Perfumes have been around for centuries. In fact, the earliest was recorded in Pyrgos, a village in Cyprus, 4,000 years ago. The perfume had extracts of pine, coriander, bay and lavender. In days gone by like chocolate, perfumes was a luxury, not so now.

More people like to wear perfumes and aftershaves every day – gone are the times when people put them on just on special occasions. So a good supply is essential.

ONE FOR THE BEACH

For those scorching days and humid nights, you might want to consider some fresh smelling fragrances.  CK One Summer by Calvin Klein has produced this fun bottle which is ideal for holidays and blends floral and zesty notes of blueberry leaf, kiwi and cactus. This spray is good for going out for a night of cocktails and dancing. Another option that will have heads turning is Couture La La Malibu by Juicy Couture. It’s a mix of mandarin with wild rose tones and captures images of Malibu beaches.
