FEATURES
When you are in a rush and at the airport, you want to have your passport and driving licence and any other debit or credit cards on hand and all safely held in your jacket pocket. This black passport cover is made from black PU leather and does the trick. It has lining and RFID (radio frequency identification) protection from fraud for both your passport and personal information.
More than 83,000 British passports were lost or stolen in the last five years, so it’s important that your passport is in a secure holder, and this one is a perfect fit for a British passport, 145mm x 215mm, and has a crest embossed in gold. It will protect your passport from wear and tear. The passport cover has four card pockets for your credit/debit cards or driving licence. This lightweight (0.06 kilograms) can also accommodate your boarding pass.
GOOD
What’s great about this classic style black passport holder is that it offers RFID protection. This prevents your cards from passive skimming of information by criminals of your information, whether it be passport details or contactless cards. The slots for the cards are nicely protected by soft padding. To buy this light-weight product for less than a tenner, no wonder it is an Amazon Choice. Its great value!
BAD
The passport holder can be a little bulky due to the RFID protection, and if you are carrying too many cards. It has a good cover but did not slot into my short pocket like the older one.
CONCLUSION
For the price, this is a good value product and one that I would definitely recommend. It looks flashy with its crest on the front and protects my passport on the inside. It also holds my debit and credit cards which makes them easily accessible.
I have had one for a few years so it can cope quite easily with wear and tear. If you want an Irish passport holder, you can get one for £1 cheaper. If you do lose your passport, you can get an appointment within two days from when you apply, and that service costs around £193.50.
